[Production Example] Special Processing Technology for Non-Alkali Glass (Size Reduction)

Size down from 750×850 to 400×550! The pattern position measurement is being taken with an image measurement machine.

This is an introduction to a case study of special processing technology for non-alkali glass (size reduction). When processing mask substrates that are patterned with high precision and accuracy, the challenge was to cut them without damaging the appearance and to finish the pattern position as required. To address this, we applied masking, performed cutting, and used a machining center equipped with a camera for positioning and shaping. Furthermore, we ensured that the external dimensions met the requirements, and by measuring the pattern position with an image measurement machine, we were able to satisfy our customers, leading to repeat orders. [Case Overview] ■ Request: To reduce the size of a patterned mask substrate to a smaller dimension ■ Product Specifications: Etched position requires an accuracy of ±0.05 Appearance (scratches, etc.) must have a defect rate of "0" under high-brightness lamps ■ Material: Non-alkali glass ■ Size: Reduced from 750×850 to 400×550 ■ Product Details: Request for size change of the existing product's glass (position and appearance are important) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Glass processing: Sandblasting/Silica tape

Introducing a process that diffuses light softly and evenly while obstructing the field of vision! This involves spraying with corundum to make it opaque.

"Sandblasting" refers to the process of spraying abrasive material onto the surface of clear glass to create an opaque frosted glass finish. [Features of Sandblasting] - A process that creates frosted glass by spraying abrasive material onto the surface of the glass. - It obscures visibility while softly and evenly diffusing light. - It is also possible to perform partial sandblasting, known as "design blast." "Silica Tape" refers to the process of spraying a protective coating onto glass that has undergone sandblasting to prevent dirt accumulation. [Features of Silica Tape] - Glass that has been coated with a transparent coating agent after sandblasting. - The powdery texture of the sandblasted surface is eliminated, resulting in a slightly glossy, translucent glass. - It diffuses light softly and moderately obscures visibility. - Similar to sandblasting, it is possible to create partial silica tape, known as "design silica tape." - Due to the coating treatment, it also has excellent dirt-repellent properties.
